Saudabayev, Clinton discussed situation in Kyrgyzstan by phone

ASTANA. June 15. KAZINFORM OSCE Chairman-in-office, Kazakh Secretary of State - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev talked over phone with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the situation in Kyrgyzstan.

The sides expressed serious concern over the further escalation of violence resulted in death of people.

The USA State Secretary highly appraised the efforts of Kazakh President N.Nazarbayev as the Head of neighboring country and OSCE chairman.

The interlocutors agreed on necessity to consolidate efforts of the OSCE and UN in rendering help to Kyrgyzstan. They also called the interim government to activate efficient work with participants of the conflict, create necessary conditions for international tolerance and accord for the benefit of Kyrgyz people.

Upon the results of the conversation the interlocutors agreed to continue monitoring the situation and consultations aimed at coordination of activities on stabilization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan.
