Saudabayev and Otunbayeva talked over phone

They discussed the program of Kyrgyzstan's economy rehabilitation initiated by Kazakh President N. Nazarbayev. Special attention was paid to the current situation in Kyrgyzstan and preparing for the coming parliamentary elections scheduled for October 10. As is known, OSCE/ODIHR will send a mission consisting of 24 long-term and 300 short-term observers. Presently, Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre Herbert Salber is holding consultations on the forthcoming work of the OSCE Police Advisory Group.

The parties agreed to send Special Envoy of OSCE Chairman-in-Office for Kyrgyzstan, Majilis Vice Speaker Zhanibek Karibzhanov to Bishkek. Together with special representatives of the UN and EU Miroslav Jenca and Pierre Morel he will hold multilateral consultations with the Kyrgyz Government on further support to this country by the world community.
