Sapporo hosts business seminar on investment climate and business opportunities of Kazakhstan

ASTANA. February 10. KAZINFORM At the initiative of the Kazakh Embassy in Japan in collaboration with Honorary Consulate in Hokkaido a business seminar dedicated to investment climate and business opportunities of Kazakhstan has been held in Sapporo city.

Representatives of the business community, local administration, academic circles and mass media took part in the seminar; the Kazakh MFA's press service reports.

Kazakh Ambassador to Japan Akylbek Kamaldinov told about main directions of the State Program of Forced Industrial-Innovative Development and called the Japanese businessmen for enlargement of investment and technological cooperation with Kazakhstan.

Within the seminar a photo exhibition about Kazakhstan was organized and materials on economic development, investment climate, tourism potential of our country were represented.

On the same day the Ambassador met with governor of Hokkaido Harumi Takahashi, heads of the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Hokkaido and other officials.

At the meetings the Kazakh diplomat informed the governor of major provisions of the annual Message of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the country's achievements over the years of independence as well as economic and political reforms.

A.Kamaldinov emphasized Kazakhstan's adherence to the principles of democratic development.

Following results of the talks the sides reached agreements on further development of investment and trade-economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan.

Positively estimating Kazakhstan's success, Harumi Takahashi expressed hope for strengthening the political dialog between the two countries as well as mutually beneficial cooperation in the scientific-technological and agroindustrial sectors.
