During the meeting, special attention was placed to the realization of the instructions of the President regarding the provision of support for domestic producers. Under the Import-substitution program, the Fund’s organizations concluded over 200 offtake-contracts with Kazakhstani enterprises to the tune of around 115 billion tenge, 8 times more than last year’s figure, in nine months of this year. 23 contracts worth 100 billion tenge are currently under review.
It was reported that a total of 8,917 agreements worth over 1 trillion tenge have been concluded with the domestic producers, leading to a more than two-fold increase in the volume of procurements from domestic producers.
The policy of all-round support for domestic producers delivers results. We will continue this work and increase the share of Kazakhstani content. We should aim at greater import substitution given our own domestic resources, said Bektenov.
The Samruk Kazyna Fund has funneled 43.6 billion tenge to provide support measures for over 500 thousand Kazakhstanis since the beginning of the year.
