Samruk-Kazyna assigns KZT 70 million for Kazakh Paralympic Committee

ASTANA. April 16. KAZINFORM - Today in Astana a memorandum on cooperation for support of athletes with disabilities and the promotion of physical culture and sports among the disabled people has been signed by "National Welfare Fund" Samruk-Kazyna" JSC and Paralympic Committee of Kazakhstan.
The Fund will provide the Paralympic Committee of Kazakhstan with KZT 70 million (tenge). That was reported to journalists by Darkhan Kaletaev, the managing director of "Samruk-Kazyna" NWF.
"We hope that the fund’s support will encourage the growth of Paralympic movement in Kazakhstan. We will make every effort to ensure that our athletes have been key participants in the world of Paralympic activity”, said D. Kaletaev.
- We have a very poorly developed Paralympic movement, thus it has been decided to render assistance. Kazakhstan has a population of about 15 thousand athletes with disabilities.
After the signing event "Samruk-Kazyna" presented 10 wheelchairs to the most distinguished members of the Paralympic Movement in Kazakhstan.
