Russian tennis team jumps to second place in Fed Cup rankings

MOSCOW. February 8. KAZINFORM The Russian tennis team reached second place in revised Federation Cup rankings, the biggest international women's team tennis championship. Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
Russia, which has won the tournament four times, climbed up the rankings after a quarterfinal victory against France at the weekend.
The Russian women won 5-3, although they were down 0-2 after the first day of the encounter.
The U.S. team was knocked from second to third place after it lost 1-4 to Belgium in the quarterfinals.
