Russian specialists to train doctors of Kazakhstan
"We are continuing to work to attract foreign professionals for development of key clinical areas in the hospital. Mentoring is carried out by leading professors from Russia, Austria, Switzerland, USA, Lithuania, Turkey and other countries in high-priority areas of medicine. Invited mentors have extensive experience in the training of doctors, nurses, enjoy a well-deserved reputation in medical circles, "- said in a statement.
"From 12 to 25 August 2013 mentoring services are provided by Professor Vera Kiryanova, the Head of Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation of the North-Western State Institute of Mediciene after Mechnikov, head of the Laboratory of high laser and magnetic technologies, chief physiotherapist of the Committee on Public Health Administration in St. Petersburg, the president of the St. Petersburg Association of physiotherapy, and the chief editor of the "Non-drug physical therapy" journal. Subject of the training course is the following: "Physical therapy in treatment and rehabilitation of patients with neurosurgical profile."
From 19 to 23 August 2013 a visiting mentor is Victor Chadaev, a PhD, assistant professor of neurology and epilepsy at the Russian State Medical University. In addition Mr. Chadaev directs the Laboratory prsurgical diagnosis of epilepsy at the Institute of Child Neurology and Epilepsy after St. Luke, which uses the most advanced high-tech methods of magnetoencephalography, magnetic resonance imaging, high-precision methods of examination of patients. The specialist is training our staff on "Presurgical diagnosis and selection of patients for surgical treatment of drug-resistant forms of epilepsy," informs the Republican Scientific Center of Neurosurgery.
Education for Kazakh doctors in the framework of the project on "mentoring" in JSC "Republican Scientific Center of Neurosurgery" has been held for the second year. Thus, in 2012 the clinic was visited by 10 foreign mentors. By the end of this year the total number of involved medical mentors will be 14 people. Development of the institution of mentoring both at the joint-stock company "RSCN" and other affiliated clinics of "National Medical Holding" is being realized through the national budget under the state order of the Ministry of Health in the framework of implementation of the State Program called "Salamatty Kazakhstan."
