Russian plane makes emergency landing after engine fire

MOSCOW. October 14. KAZINFORM A passenger plane made an emergency landing in Russia's Siberia on Friday, after its left engine caught fire, said the emergency ministry; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
All the 67 passengers and seven crew members were safely evacuated, reported the RIA Novosti news agency.
The fire broke out in the Tu-134 jet's left engine shortly after the plane's takeoff.
The plane immediately had the landing at an airport in Novy Urengoi in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, according to an airport official; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
