Russian, NKorean diplomats discuss situation on Korean peninsula

PYONGYANG. April 23. KAZINFORM The Russian and North Korean foreign ministers are discussing the situation on the Korean peninsula and prospects for resuming six-party talks over the North Korean nuclear program. The meeting between the diplomats is taking place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall; Kazinform refers to ITAR-TASS.
The ministers will discuss ways of settling the nuclear program, and consider prospects for resolving the situation in connection with North Korea's statement on withdrawing from the six-party negotiations, after the UN Security Council denounced Pyongyang's missile launch, sources told Itar-Tass.
Among other items on the agenda is the current situation in northeastern Asia; Kazinform cites ITAR-TASS.
