Russian man tried to smuggle 19 tons of ferrous metal

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Border patrol of Kazakhstan foiled an attempted smuggling of 19 tons of ferrous steel scrap across the Kazakh-Russian border, the press service of the Frontier Service of the Kazakh National Security Committee said.
The national of the Russian Federation driving a truck had no documents required to export the metal outside the national territory of Kazakhstan. The detained was taken to the local police precinct. The investigation is underway.
