Russian Foreign Minister invited to partake in Ministerial Conference of the Istanbul Process

Galym Orazbakov noted the special role of Russia in the stabilization of Afghanistan and expressed confidence that the Russian participation in the ministerial meeting will make a significant contribution to the joint work to enhance regional cooperation in the framework of the "Istanbul process" for the benefit of stability and security of the Afghan people.

Afghan diplomat Zamir Kabulov noted that the Russian Federation is making a substantial contribution to the settlement of the situation in Afghanistan as well as in its post-war and economic rehabilitation.

In this context, Zamir Kabulov placed special emphasis on the active role of Kazakhstan in the international arena, mentioning that Almaty will again take representatives of the "six" of international mediators and Iran on the nuclear issue in coming days.

According to him, Kazakhstan "becomes somewhat a hub, negotiating platform" on topical issues of contemporary international relations.
