Russian FCS: No critical problems in the Customs Union
According to BelTA, strategic questions are discussed at the meetings of the heads of customs services of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. It promotes effective cooperation within the Customs Union, Vladimir Malinin noted.
According to Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Customs Committee Yury Brytkov, the trade between Customs Union member states is increasing. "This proves that we are on the right way," he stressed. According to the official data, the volume of trade in the Customs Union went up 30% over the year.
Heads of customs services of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan were present at the meeting as observers. Head of the Kyrgyz Customs Service Kubanychbek Kulmatov said that the country is holding consultations on the issues to join the Customs Union and will take part in the operation of its bodies in the near future. Head of the Customs Service of Tajikistan Gurez Zaripov connects the prospects of entering the Customs Union with the membership of neighboring Kyrgyzstan when the country will have common border with the Customs Union.
