Russian deputy Zhirinovsky commented on his persona non grata in Kyrgyzstan
"This is not the answer, they do not have the right to touch it because it was not an official statement (on my part)," - said Zhirinovsky, as quoted by the Russian newspaper "Sight".
He clarified that his remarks against Kyrgyzstan voiced during the debate on migration issues. "Have I offended?" - perplexed the parliamentarian. According to him, he, however, praised the Kyrgyz Lake Issyk-Kul, which could become a source of income for the country from tourism.
Earlier Mr. Zhirinovsky at a meeting of the State Duma of Russia offered to give Lake Issyk-Kul to Russia in repayment of a multi-million debt. In addition, Zhirinovsky said that Kyrgyzstan could become the ninth Federal District of Russia. Zhirinovsky made such a statement amid reports that Moscow would write off the debt of Bishkek in $ 500 million.
