Russian and Kazakh experts summarized environment monitoring of Baikonur launch complex

18 reports of scientists and experts of the space industry of Kazakhstan and Russia were presented at the forum. The forum participants discussed materials of the three-year research under the program of Baikonur launch complex environment monitoring.
The main program performers from the Kazakh side are 'Infrakos-Ekos' and National Space Agency of Kazakhstan, from the Russian side - Federal State Unitary Enterprise 'Center of Exploitation of Outer Space Infrastructure' of Roscosmos.
According to Director of 'Infrakos-Ekos' Zhailaubay Zhubatov the environment monitoring let experts of both countries, ecologists and scientists receive an invaluable experience, real methodical projects to be used in practice on environmental safety of Baikonur activity.
For example, the participants estimated the state of the life environment and healthcare of people living in impact zones of detached parts of carrier rockets. They are the peasant farms in Ulytau municipality of Karaganda region, Karaguzhiha village of Glubokovsly municipality in East-Kazakhstan Oblast.
Following the results of the conference the participants adopted a resolution in which was noted that the objectives of a three-year program "Development and Improvement of the System on Baikonur Space Base Environment Monitoring" were fulfilled.
It was decided to develop a complex program on monitoring of environment and healthcare of population on the territories subjected to the rocket-space activity for 2010-2015.
