Russia to commemorate S Ossetia tragic events

MOSCOW. August 5. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ Four-day commemorative events dedicated to the first anniversary of the South Ossetian tragedy will kick off in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Vladikavkaz today.
According to Pavel Illarionov, Executive Director of Svecha Pamyati Russian Memorial Centre, the event is organized under the auspices of the United Russia Party. He says the relatives and friends of the participants of military actions can meet and pay tribute to the dead at the Moscow Central Museum of Modern History of Russia during the period August 7-8.
Members of social organizations, scientists, representatives of different confessions as well as diplomatic corps were invited for the event, P. Illarionov added.
