UNITED NATIONS. May 29. KAZINFORM Russia's UN Ambassador Vitaly Churkin said on Thursday the work on the Security Council resolution on North Korea is proceeding normally, but will take time because of many suggestions; Kazinform refers to ITAR-TASS.
?It is normal work that will continue also tomorrow and on Monday, as so far we have not agreed on anything and have not rejected anything that causes doubts,? he said.
Ambassadors from the five permanent veto-wielding council members - the United States, Russia, China, Britain and France - and the two countries most closely affected by the North Korean nuclear test, Japan and South Korea, met behind closed doors to discuss initial reactions from their governments to the list of proposals for possible inclusion in the new resolution; Kazinform cites ITAR-TASS.
