?We have come here with a very specific goal: to expand cooperation between governmental agencies dealing with the preparation of the Olympic Games and between Olympic organising committees,? Kozak said while visiting the Richmond Oval sport facility. ?This visit is important for us in practical terms because Sochi will take over the Olympic race from Vancouver in a year,? he added. ?Sochi will host the first Olympic Games in the history of modern Russia in five years,? Sochi-2014 Organising Committee Chairman Dmitry Chernychenko said. ?The experience of our colleagues in preparing and holding the games is very important for us.? ?We have come to Canada not only in order to study the condition of sport facilities for the Games 2010, but also in order to discuss Russian-Canadian relations during a meeting with International Trade Minister Stockwell Day. We will talk, among other things, about economic cooperation. We have most constructive relations with Canada and we are satisfied with their dynamics,? Kozak said. Asked whether the current crisis could impact preparations for the Olympic Games in Sochi, Kozak said, ?There will be no corrections as far as the facilities and their quality are concerned?, Kazinform cites ITAR-TASS.
