MOSCOW. December 3. KAZINFORM. Russia's flagship air carrier Aeroflot has denied media rumors that the company could soon face severe fuel shortages and flight cancellations; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
Some media reports have cited sources in aircraft and energy industries claiming that Aeroflot had only one-day reserves of jet fuel due to interrupted supplies from the Moscow oil refinery.
"We continue to receive jet fuel on a regular basis in line with the schedule coordinated with our suppliers," said Oleg Mikhailov, a senior adviser to the company's general director.
He added that Aeroflot had always kept fuel reserves up to the norms established by Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia); Kazinform cites RIA Novosti. See www.en.rian.ru for full version.
