Russia rocket into top 10

MOSCOW. November 7. KAZINFORM Russia moved into the top-10 ranked football nations this month, FIFA announced Wednesday.
Fabio Capello's team rise three places from 12th to ninth on the back of 1-0 victories over Portugal and Azerbaijan in last month's World Cup qualifiers.
According to RIA Novosti, World and European champions Spain remain cemented to first place, followed by Germany in second and Argentina, who moved to third following wins over Uruguay and Chile.
Portugal are edged down to fourth. Italy rise to fifth, followed by England, the Netherlands and Colombia. Croatia round out the top 10.
Five-time world champions Brazil stayed 13th despite having no points-earning qualifiers to play for their home World Cup.
