Russia reports fourth A/H1N1 flu case

MOSCOW. July 15. KAZINFORM Russia has reported the fourth A/H1N1 flu case, the Ekho Moskvy radio said with the reference to Russian Chief Public Health Official Gennady Onishchenko; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
The 19-year-old man had just returned from Ibiza, Spain. He was taken to hospital directly from the Domodedovo Airport. The patient has a mild fever and receives all the necessary medications, Onishchenko said.
Meanwhile, the virus was officially confirmed for 113,507 persons worldwide, including 549 lethal cases, the World Health Organization (WHO) said. The flu mortality rate is 0.5%.
The screening of passengers, who arrive in Russia from flu zones, continues. "A total of 6,822 flights, 537,106 passengers and 47,227 crewmembers have been screened since April 30, 2009," the Federal Consumer Rights and Human Well Being Service said; Kazinform has learnt from Itar-Tass.
