Russia grants $40 mln to Baikonur town every year

ASTANA. December 3. KAZINFORM The Russian Federation grants $40 million of donations to the town of Baikonur annually.
It was announced by Vice Chairman of the National Space Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan Meirbek Moldabekov at the Tuesday press briefing of the Central Communications Service.
"Russia pays us $115 million worth of rental payments and allots around $100 million on maintenance and exploitation of space infrastructure facilities, including the space port and the town of Baikonur," Mr. Moldabekov said.
