Row your boat: Eastern Kazakhstan to build rowing canal

UST-KAMENOGORSK. March 29. KAZINFORM A rowing canal will be cut in eastern Kazakhstan.
The corresponding memorandum on the construction of the new sport facility was signed in Ust-Kamenogorsk the other day by mayor of the city Serik Taukebayev, director of "Ust-Kamenogorsk poultry plant" JSC Serik Tolukpayev and director of "Aitas MP" Ltd. Lyudmila Chubik.
The 4.150-meter long canal is to be put into commission in 2014. It is believed to attract rowing and canoeing amateurs. Ust-Kamenogorsk is basically the only city in the country that has preserved the best traditions of this type of sport.
