Romania interested in transport cooperation with Kazakhstan
The diplomat was informed of Kazakhstan's transport and communication infrastructure. The Minister noted that upon completion of construction of an international transit highway "Western Europe-Western China" there appears a good opportunity to transport goods by the shortest route and in a short time between China and Europe via the Russian Federation. As for the development of transportation engineering Mr. Kussainov said that Kazakhstan launched production of electric locomotives, freight and passenger carriages. He also suggested considering an opportunity of training Kazakh aviation security specialists at Romanian aviation centers. The Minister invited Romanian workers employed in the sphere of transport to the VII International Conference "TransEurAsia-2011" planned for September 2011 in Astana.
As Ambassador Rapcea emphasized, Romania is looking to continue cooperation in the field of transport and communications and study new opportunities in this direction.
