Roman Sklyar reappointed as First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan

Roman Sklyar has been reappointed to his post as the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.

Sklyar is a graduate of the Pavlodar State University, Moscow Institute of Modern Business, and Kazakh Institute of Law and International Relations.

In 2011 and 2013, he was the vice minister of transport and communications of Kazakhstan.

Sklyar served as the vice president at Kazakh Temir Zholy before 2016. Later, he was elected the deputy of the Majilis of parliament, chairman of the Committee for economic reform and regional development of the Majilis.

In 2016, he was appointed as the vice minster of national economy of Kazakhstan.

In 2019, Sklyar took up the post of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

In 2022, he was named the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan by presidential decree.
