Role of Kazakhstan in new Asian diplomacy of South Korea

The goal of her trip is to broaden economic cooperation with three countries of Central Asia and strengthen ties with their leaders. Thereat, the key mechanism of its realization is the Revival of the Silk Road, running as we know through Central Asia. In fact, the large-scale project in tune with China's initiative of the Silk Road Economic Belt demonstrates Seoul's striving to strengthen its position and take its niche to reap benefits from the region's economic advance, including at the background of the Eurasian integration processes. Kazakhstan has every chance to become soon the key trade-economic and technologic partner of South Korea in the region. Constant upgrading of the country's investment climate and conditions for doing business, political stability, visa-free regime between the two nations up to one month, attractiveness of the Eurasian Economic Union market and other factors will contribute to it. Development of cooperation in tourism, medicine, ecology, information, bio and nanotechnologies, agriculture, education, transport and communication will get a potent impetus. Besides, there are 700 joint ventures in Kazakhstan. Hyundai, SsangYoung, Samsung, LG Electronics, SK Corporation are actively working in the country. One of the key friendship bridges between Kazakhstan and South Korea is the Korean Diaspora that numbers more than 120,000 people. Reps of political and scientific circles of South Korea highlighted unique character of interethnic and interfaith situation in Kazakhstan, and harmony of the policy pursued.
