Role of Kazakh-British coop in reforming Kazakhstan's educational system discussed in Astana
The event was held within the framework of the visit of Minister of State for Higher Education and Intellectual Property of the UK David Lammy MP to Kazakhstan, who will hold a number of meetings and roundtables with heads of institutions of higher and technical and vocational education, and the Kazakh top officials on October 5-7.
The roundtable participants discussed the role of partnership between the British and Kazakh educational facilities in reforming technical and vocational education of the two countries and methods of ensuring effective work of the joint structures.
The United Kingdom was represented by the Association of Colleges of Great Britain, TVET UK and English UK language teaching association. The Kazakh side was represented by representatives of the Technical and Vocational Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Science, Human Resource Development Center and KazMunaiGas National Company.
Within the framework of the meeting a memorandum of cooperation in the education sphere was signed between Association of Colleges of Great Britain, TVET UK and Human Resource Development Center.
