Road Map implementation in Almaty to be continued

ALMATY. February 25. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ Last year Almaty saw the efficiency of implementation of the new strategy within the Road Map Program. Therefore, similar work will be continued this year; Akim of Almaty city Akhmetzhan Yessimov has said it today at the XXVI session of the city maslikhat.

"KZT 10.4 bln was allocated for implementation of the Road Map-2010 Program whereas KZT 6.9 bln was allotted from the national budget and KZT 3.5 bln - from the local one.160 investment projects with new 9 thousand jobs will be implemented at the expense of these funds", he noted.

The Mayor emphasized that 2010 year is the completing year on preparation to 2011 Winter Asian Games. It is necessary to implement development projects on Shymbulak ski resort, ski jumping boards, ski and biathlon stadiums as well as reconstruction of Medeu high-mountain complex and other construction facilities in time.

According to A. Yessimov the priority in 2010 will be given to the solution of environmental issues through complex development of all transport infrastructures, introduction of Euro-2 standards in transport sphere as well as development of energy and energy saving technology.
