Road Map cuts off unemployment in Semey

SEMEY. January 15. KAZINFORM /Lina Slavina/ The number of unemployed people in Semey reduced to 1,699 or by 15.6% at the end of 2009 as compared to the beginning of the year.
"Implementation of the Address of the President to the Nation, the Road Map project and the Complex Action Plan on modernization of the population employment system in the city for 2008-2010 allowed to achieve positive results. The unemployment rate was reduced and the Road Map projects played key role in it. The achieved results will be consolidated in 2010", Head of the municipal Employment and Social Programs Department Zhanat Nikushev said.
The Plan on realization of complex measures on modernization of the population employment system for 2008-2010 provides employment for 4,500 people. 560 unemployed are expected to be sent to vocational training, 900 - to paid social works. 2,000 jobs will be created in the region in 2010.
