RK Ombudsman, UNICEF Representative in Kazakhstan entered into memo of coop

ASTANA. March 2. KAZINFORM Human Rights Commissioner of Kazakhstan Askar Shakirov and Head of the UNICEF Office in Kazakhstan Hanaa Singer have signed a memorandum of cooperation in protection and promotion of children's rights in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kazakh Ombudsman informs.
The memorandum was signed within realization of the Concept of Legal Policy in Kazakhstan for 2010-2020. One of its priority directions is protection of juveniles' rights as well as realization of the National Human Rights Action Plan in Kazakhstan for 2009-2012.
The document aims at enhancement of ombudsman institution in ensuring children's rights, improvement of national legislation in this sphere through implementation of general international norms in it. The memorandum also provides for interaction of the sides in implementation of joint projects.
