RK MES: By 2016, 53 000 more students will be trained at vocational schools

ASTANA. December 9. KAZINFORM - The Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, Aslan Sarinzhipov said at a governmental hour in the Majilis that by 2016, 53 000 more students would be trained at vocational schools.
According to the minister, to solve the problem of providing technical and vocational educational facilities with teaching staff, it is planned to annually involve 1.6 thousand highly qualified industrial workers. The training of 13 000 engineering and pedagogical staff members is slated.
A system of independent evaluation of graduates' qualification together with employers is under implementation. Independent qualification confirmation centers were set up under three associations of employers in the gas, mining and tourist industries.
Elements of the dual system of education were introduced in 176 vocational schools. Modular programs for 39 professions, professional standards for 147 specialities were developed by international standards.
