Rinat Kazachenko claims silver at ISSF Junior World Championships
Rinat Kazachenko earned Kazakhstan’s first medal at the ISSF Junior World Championships 2026 in Suhl, Germany, claiming silver in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions event, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan.
Kazachenko posted the second-best result in the men's 50-meter rifle three positions competition. In the final round, he scored 355.2 points.
India’s Rohit Kanyan won the gold medal, edging the Kazakh shooter by just 0.7 points with a score of 355.9. Austria’s Patrick Entner took bronze with 344.0 points.
The press service of the National Olympic Committee highlighted this medal is the first for Kazakhstan’s national team at the current Junior World Championships.
