Revenue from Russian electricity transit through Kazakhstani grids amounted to KZT 4 bln - KEGOC
The head of the Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company reminded that in accordance with intergovernmental agreements "On measures on providing parallel operation of power systems of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation" KEGOC JSC concluded five key treaties with system operators of Russia: INTER RAO UES OJSC, FGC OJSC, SO UES OJSC. These agreements which entered into force on May 1, 2010 have fully regulated the legal framework of the two sides' relationships within the Customs Union and Single Economic Space.
"This allowed our company to earn additional income amounting to KZT 4 bln due to payment for the electricity transit by the Russian consumers through grids of the Kazakh national company", A.Satkaliyev added.
