Retail sales grew by 12.7% for 9 months of 2013 - Kazakh Statistics Agency

ASTANA. October 12. KAZINFORM In Kazakhstan, the volume of retail sales for the first 9 months of 2013 increased by 12.7% and amounted to 3.5 trillion tenge, Chairman of the Statistics Agency Alikhan Smailov told a briefing.
"The volume of retail sales in January- September 2013 amounted to 3.5 trillion tenge, which is more than last year by 12.7 %," he said.
In addition, the volume of wholesale trade for the same period increased by 12.5% and amounted to 9.7 trillion tenge. The scope of services for the provision of food amounted to 166.3 billion tenge, an increase of 7.4 % compared to January-September of last year.
