Resolution offered by Kazakhstan adopted at 69th session of UN ESCAP

ASTANA. May 8. KAZINFORM The Kazakh delegation took part in the 69th session of Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) of the United Nations, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.

"Session covered issues of macroeconomic policy, poverty alleviation, transport, agriculture, agenda of sustainable development for a period after 2015 including a program of Commission's work for 2014-2015," the message reads.

The UN ESCAP Resolution "The Implementation of the Green Bridge Partnership Program as further free realization of Rio+20 results", offered by Kazakhstan has been adopted within the session.

The Resolution strengthens the role of the program as a mechanism of realization of the recommendations of Rio+20 - the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, concerning favorable conditions for the transfer of ecologically clean technologies to the developing landlocked countries in Central and Northern Asia and on the sub-regional level", the press service of the Foreign Ministry informed.
