Reps of Locomotive JSC took part in 5th Int'l EuroTrain Partner Conference in Yalta
The conference, held from June 11 to 15, was organized by a specialized railway publishing house "Rolling" on the initiative of the State Administration of Railway Transport of Ukraine "Ukrainian Railways", supported by the Scientific and Technical Society of Railway Workers of Ukraine and with the assistance of the Yalta City Council.
The event was attended by over 200 representatives of the railways of Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Germany, Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, the United States and other countries, business leaders and private railway engineering related industries, leading scientists to education and research institutions of the participating countries.
"There has been a productive exchange of views among the participants of the event. They debated the problem of rolling stock and solutions through the interaction of public and private sectors ", said the president of Locomotive JSC Marat Medeubaev at the end of the conference.
The conference presented more than 40 papers from 80 authors for creating, updating and repair of rolling stock. There are also presentations of innovative developments for rail transport. The conference noted that the development of the transport market was one of the priorities in economic development. Particularly acute in this area are the issues of transport of passengers and goods to new energy-efficient, low-cost and comfortable trains, as well as updating the existing fleet of rail and industrial rolling up to European standards.
The forum participants also talked about the fact that when you create all types of rolling stock should be provided: reducing operating costs, improving environmental and ergonomic qualities, and increase of the service life, and to create passenger rolling stock - increase the speed, comfort, culture and quality of service. It should also invent measures aimed at bringing the railway infrastructure in accordance with specifications of the new rolling stock - to implement the process for passengers and freight with maximum speed and weight norms in strict compliance with traffic safety. All it requires intensifying efforts to bring together government agencies and private companies.
