Reps of 99 countries arrive in Kazakhstan for 51st International Mathematical Olympiad

ANA. July 6. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The International Mathematical Olympiad is to be not only a competition, but an intellectual holiday. Minister of Education and Science Zhanseit Tuimebayev has told it to participants of the 51st International Mathematical Olympiad.
"I admire striving of our young friends to learn mathematics - the basis of all sciences. The International Mathematical Olympiad is the most prestigious competition among school students of the whole world", Z.Tuimebayev said.
He noted that President Nursultan Nazarbayev pays great attention to the sphere of education ad science.
837 foreign guests, including over 500 students, came to Astana for participation in the Olympiad. Representatives of 99 states out of 102 registered arrived in Kazakhstan.
