Report on rights of repatriates and refugees in Kazakhstan released

ASTANA. June 21. KAZINFORM A special report of the Commission on Human Rights under the President of Kazakhstan "On the situation with the rights of repatriates, stateless persons and refugees in Kazakhstan" was presented in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan on Thursday.
The report received a positive assessment from President Nursultan Nazarbayev, international and national experts. It was issued in the Kazakh, Russian and English languages with technical support of the Regional Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Central Asia.
During the presentation it was noted that the report contains a comparative analysis of the national legislation and law enforcement practice in the field of protection of the rights of repatriates, stateless persons and refugees in accordance with the provisions of international covenants and conventions on human rights ratified by Kazakhstan, the assessment of the state authorities.
