Repatriates' employment in spotlight of Almaty oblast authorities

TALDYKORGAN. August 10. KAZINFORM /Sandugash Duisenova/ Over 36 thousand jobs have been created in Almaty oblast in 2009. However, 394 repatriates only have been employed.
As Director of Regional Migration Department Zhumagali Alibayev says, since the beginning of the year more than 70 repatriates have been provided with jobs in various spheres - business, services, applied arts, wood processing etc.
In past six year 52 families of repatriates having received KZT 3.1 mln could buy domestic animals and work at their own farms.
197 families bringing up 530 children were provided with child benefits to the amount of KZT 2.1 mln since the year beginning.
In whole, 37, 163 families of repatriates have arrived in Almaty oblast since 1991, that is around 120, 000 people.
