Religious leaders-politicians dialogue to be discussed in Astana - Tokayev

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakh Senate Speaker and head of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has suggested focusing on the dialogue of religious leaders and politicians at the upcoming 5th Congress in Astana.
He voiced his opinion at the 13th session of the Secretariat which is on at the Palace of Peace and Accord in the Kazakh capital. "The ideas of extremism and radicalism are becoming more and more popular among youth residing not only in the undeveloped countries, but also in the West. We suggest debating the issues of dialogue of religious leaders and political figures at the forthcoming congress," Mr. Tokayev said. The 5th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions is to take place in Astana in 2015.
