Registered letters with drugs sent to prisoners in Akmola rgn

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - A rare occurrence of drugs delivery to prisoners took place in Akmola region, the press-service of the Penal system Committee reports.
Eleven registered letters have been delivered from Arshaly village Kazpost branch to prisoners of the high-security prison located in the area.
Substances with special odour were found in six envelopes. Forensic chemical examination established that the seized substances were heroin (about 4 g), hashish (almost 45 g) and marihuana (more than 500 g).
Investigation has been initiated by the regional Department of Internal Affairs of Akmola region.
