Reception devoted to Kazakhstan's OSCE Chairmanship held in Prague

Making a speech Kazakh Ambassador Anarbek Karashev told about the priorities and program of the country's chairmanship in the OSCE. The representatives of the Czech Government, socio-political, business and journalist circles as well as heads of the diplomatic missions accredited in the Czech Republic attended the reception. The Kazakh diplomat noted "provided that every OSCE participating state supports Kazakhstan's efforts aimed at increasing efficiency of the organization the chairmanship will be successful."

Chairman of the Czech Parliament Miloslav Vlchek appraised Kazakhstan's initiatives within the framework of the OSCE having noted that "Kazakhstan is the first post-soviet state to preside in the organization." He noted that he shared great responsibility of Kazakhstan since last year the Czech Republic was the first post-communist country in Central Europe to chair the EU and was very proud of it.

"Support of the OSCE activity is one of the priorities of foreign policy of the Czech Government", Director General of the Diplomatic Service at the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vítězslav Grepl stated.
