Rate of pathologies in newborns increases

AKTAU. KAZINFORM The rate of pathologies in newborns increased in Mangystau region surging from 1,329 surgeries in 2011 to 1,660 in 2013.
"Though the infant death rates decreased by one-half from 69 in 2011 to 46 in 2013 the birth defects remain still the major cause of infant mortality," director of the Mangystau children's hospital Kamshat Tursynbekova said.
