Rapid economic growth in Kazakhstan, Indonesia create favorable conditions for boosting trade-economic coop - Nazarbayev

"Today we've had very productive talks and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, identified top priorities. I was able to meet with business leaders in Indonesia, to view an exhibition of products that are produced here. I think this visit is clear evidence that Kazakhstan intends to intensify its dialogue with Indonesia, one of the largest countries in the Islamic world, both at the highest level and at the level of ministries and agencies.
Next year we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between our countries. We have just celebrated the 20th anniversary of our Independence. An important step will be the opening of the Kazakh Embassy in Jakarta, which has already taken place, and the Ambassador was appointed. We have also agreed to hold Days of Culture of Indonesia in Kazakhstan and Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Indonesia in 2013 and 2014," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
According to the President of Kazakhstan, promising fields of collaboration are energy, transportation, engineering, agriculture, food industry, small and medium businesses.
Nazarbayev noted that during the meeting, agreements were reached on the establishment of joint ventures in several sectors of mutual interest. Kazakhstan is ready to consider the opportunity of supplies of grain and products thereof, other types of products to Indonesia.
