Kazakhstan to brace for rain, strong winds and drop in temperatures on May 9-11
From May 9 to 11, most parts of Kazakhstan will experience unstable weather conditions, with rain and thunderstorms forecast across the country, Qazinform News Agency reports.
Heavy rain is expected on May 9 in the country’s southwest, northwest and north, and on May 10-11 in the east, south, and southeast. Hail and squally winds are also possible.
Stronr winds and fog are forecast countrywide, while dust storms may affect southern regions.
Kazhydromet has also warned of a gradual drop in temperatures.
Thus, on May 11, nighttime frosts of -1°C to -6°C are expected in northern regions.
Daytime temperatures in western parts will stay at +13+28°C, in northwestern areas – at +10+18°C, in the north – at +5+13°C, in the center and east – at +8+18°C, in the south – at +17+26°C, in the southeast - at +15+22°C, and in mountainous districts – at +8+13°C.
