Raging hurricane Ida kills over 100 in El-Salvador

BUENOS-AIRES. November 9. KAZINFORM At least 104 people were killed and some 66 reported to be missing in floods and mudslides caused by raging hurricane Ida in El Salvador, the National Civilian Police (PNC) reported,  Kazinform cites RIA Novosti.

The authorities declared the state of emergency in five of the Central American nation's departments.

The hurricane, running a speed of 120 km/h (75 mph), ripped into Nicaragua last Thursday, damaging homes and infrastructure and forcing some 40,000 people out of their homes.

U.S. forecasters at the National Hurricane Center (NHC), based in the state of Florida, have begun issuing hurricane watches for the most part of the Gulf Coast from Louisiana to Florida in advance of the storm, Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
