Qurultay to open new chapter for Kazakhstan – Aliyev congratulates Tokayev

In his message, Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the elections will mark the beginning of a new chapter in the country's socio-political life and contribute to further reforms and development in Kazakhstan.

"I extend my most sincere congratulations to you and the brotherly people on the successful holding of the first elections to the new parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Qurultay. I am confident that this important event, symbolizing the beginning of a new historical stage in Kazakhstan's socio-political life, will serve the comprehensive development of your country, the continuation of the wide-sweeping reforms you are carrying out, and the accomplishment of future goals. I wish the Qurultay every success.

The development of our relations with Kazakhstan, with which we are closely connected by common roots, national and spiritual values, and bonds of brotherhood, is of particular importance to us. The active and productive political dialogue with you has given impetus to the further strengthening of Azerbaijani-Kazakh strategic partnership and its enrichment with new content. Earlier, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, congratulated the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on the successful elections to the Qurultay.
