Quarter of population received monthly social benefits from republican budget last year

Over the last three years, the average pension payments in Kazakhstan increased 1.6 times. Besides, about 677 thousand people began to receive pensions from the accumulation pension system.

G.Abdykalikova noted that the average state social disability benefits increased from KZT 9,331 in 2007 to KZT 14,094 in 2009.

"The benefits for families with children were essentially increased as well. About 410 families received allowances this year", G.Abdykalikova said.

The Minister also informed that social payments from the State Social Insurance Fund became additional source for the participants of the compulsory social insurance system.
