Qatar ready to eye investment projects in Kazakhstan

During the meeting, Ambassador Shokybayev talked about favorable conditions created in Kazakhstan for foreign investors. In this context, he stressed that Kazakhstan and Qatar should step up investment cooperation. In his words, among key investment projects in Kazakhstan are construction of the EXPO 2017 facilities in Astana, infrastructural projects in the cities of Astana and Almaty, oil & gas, tourism, agricultural, telecommunication and other projects. Given that Kazakhstan is the most developed and stable country in the region, Sheikh Abdullah bin Saoud Al Thani reiterated Qatar's interest in the development of full-scale investment cooperation with the country. He expressed readiness to eye various investment projects in Kazakhstan and Qatar's possible participation. Details of cooperation on the projects are likely to be discussed within the framework of exchange visits of Kazakhstani and Qatari delegations.
