Qatar delegation arrives in E Kazakhstan

Deputy director general of the Qatar Development Fund Khalifa Al Kuwari and expert Sultan Al Asiri met with Kanat Saudabayev, director of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Culture, Education and Social Programs Fund. The sides visited the regional cancer treatment centre, children's 80-bed TB dispensary built within the memo signed between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the local administration. Besides, they took part in a presentation of the consortium of radiological medicine and international medical assistance of the East Kazakhstan region. The local scientists presented there research results featuring the consequences of the nuclear tests conducted at the testing ground. As earlier reported, September this year Kanat Saudabayev and Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Muraikhi, director of the Qatar Development Fund, signed the memo of understating between the two funds to realize the joint project to build a rehabilitation centre for those suffered from nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk nuclear testing site.
