Protesters break into govt HQ in Bishkek, president’s houses ablaze

BISHKEK. April 8. KAZINFORM. Protesters broke into the government headquarters in Bishkek on Wednesday evening, the KABAR news agency reported; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
It said "the protesters went on the rampage in the building" and no officials were seen inside.
Unidentified persons plundered three houses owned by Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev's family in Bishkek and set them on fire.
According to unofficial information obtained by the agency, Bakiyev's close relatives lived there lately.
Meanwhile, Bakiyev has left Bishkek, the capital of the country, and moved to Osh. The defence minister has arrived with him, KABAR said.
Earlier in the day, Ak-Shumkar party leader Temir Sariyev said Bakiyev was not in the House of Government in Bishkek.
"We do not know where he is, but we do know for sure that he is not in Bishkek," the opposition leader said; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
